Lidar and sodar test site

All ZephIR 300s are subject to an industry approved acceptance process at the UK's Lidar and Sodar test site operated by Natural Power.

Power Supply

We have extensive experience of power supplies for wind lidars and have recently worked closely with Ampair to define a set of off the shelf renewable power systems.

Reliability

ZephIR has been proven in an accredited test house against a rigorous set of EMC, environmental, shock and safety tests which, combined with real world experience of 2 million operational hours, demonstrate the systems reliability for autonomous, remote operation in harsh climates.

Technical Specification

ZephIR is a Class 1 eye safe laser system, certified for remote resource assessment, providing wind quality measurements from 10m (30ft) to 200m (650ft). The systems full technical specification can be found here.

Wind Tunnel Testing

ZephIR is the only wind lidar system in the world to be subjected to high-performance wind tunnel tests, which demonstrated near perfect accuracy results.
